As the JR. Chemist for Research and Development, you will be responsible for providing technical support in the areas of manufacturing, quality control and assurance, technical service and personal care applications development, product performance evaluation as determined by management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Technical Support:

• Conducts in vitro SPF      analyses for customers formulations
• Provides      technical/laboratory support to Technical Information Specialist, sales      force and other departments
• Prepares samples for  samples inventory
• Participates in analyzing and evaluating competitive products
• Advises and assists customers with preparation of formulas
• Trouble shoots customer  formulas

Applications, Formula Development and New Technology Evaluation:

• Participates in developing prototype formulas for formulary
• Prepares finished formulations for demonstration and testing purposes
• Participates in designing and conducting experiments to generate basic information about      new and existing raw materials
• Participates in developing  new applications for existing materials and technologies
• Participates in  evaluating new raw materials and technologies in multiple applications
• Participates in  evaluating new / alternate vendors of existing TRI-K products

Quality Control/Assurance

• Performs QC analyses and maintains required records
• Participates in designing and conducting experiments to resolve quality complaints

Travel: Occasional travel less than 5% travel

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related technical discipline; and one to two years related experience and/or training
